I just watched the re-run of the Contender Asia last night. We all know that Yodsanklai won this fight in Singapore, right? Yeah Yodsanklai rocks! What a fight!!!
JWP, poor him! In this final he really had no chance to win. Although he had done a good job to score on points, and he would have done better if he was fighting against other boxers, Yodsanklai is out of his league. He should have won this and retired with glory. But anyway he is another great fighter.
This fight, Yodsanklai really deserves to win. He is a very skilled fighter with high experience, very cool in the ring. He has better technique. There’s one part when JWP’s gone wild, throwing crazy punches at Yod. What Yod did was only stepping back a little and shrugged at him. That was hilarious! He just basically waited for his opponent’s attacks and then countered him. His kick was spectacular!
Take a look at this short clip!

No matter who won the game, both Yodsanklai and John Wayne Parr are real sportsmanship. Good guys!
Champion (1949) is an American film noir drama. This black-and-white film was based on a short story by Ring Lardner. It recounts the struggles of fighter “Midge” Kelly fighting his own demons while working to achieve success in the boxing ring. The film was directed by Mark Robson, with shooting by Franz Planer.

Plot:
It is the tragedy of a tough prize fighter who rises to the top of his career but can’t wipe away the scars of his deprived youth. In his fight back to get forward, middleweight champ Midge Kelly ends up cruelly using — and abusing — everyone close to him: his manager, the different women in his life, and, lastly, even his crippled brother.

Casts: Kirk Douglas, Marilyn Maxwell, and others

Hi! Our MuayThaiArt.com/blog today will relax and not think of Muay Thai for a day. Speak of Thai is here every week to introduce you to Thai language. We’ll make it simple and easy for you!
Today let us count numbers! Counting numbers is another important part of learning another language. At least when you buy stuff, you have to know how to say the correct price.
I’m not saying anything much today. Let’s start!
1 = Nueng (หนึ่ง) 11 = Sib-Ed* (สิบเอ็ด)
2 = Song (สอง) 12 = Sib-Song (สิบสอง)
3 = Saam (สาม) 13 = Sib-Saam (สิบสาม)
4 = Si (สี่) 14 = Sib-Si (สิบสี่)
5 = Ha (ห้า) 15 = Sib-Ha (สิบห้า)
6 = Hok (หก) 16 = Sib-Hok (สิบหก)
7 = Jedd (เจ็ด) 17 = Sib-Jedd (สิบเจ็ด)
8 = Paed (แปด) 18 = Sib-Paed (สิบแปด)
9 = Kaaw (เก้า) 19 = Sib-Kaaw (สิบเก้า)
10 = Sib (สิบ) 20 = Yi-Sib** (ยี่สิบ)
Wow, that’s something huh! Don’t get too excited. Try to remember first from one to ten because they are the basic numbers. After you’re fluent with those ten number the rest is easy.
If you have notice, number 1 is said differently in number 1 and number 11. If it’s number 1 alone, we call it Nueng. But if it’s with other number, for example, after ten, twenty, and thirty, we call it Ed. Here number 1 is after 10 (Sib) so we call it Sib-Ed NOT Sib-Nueng. Another example just to be clear, 21 = Yi-Sib-Ed.
Alright! 20 numbers for today. My trick to memorize new words is to saying them out loud. Who care about others! But just don’t do it in an important meeting, we won’t assure you that nothing would happen!
See you next week! SawaddeeKa
Today I wanna introduce you to one of boxing school in Thailand. The name of the school was given after the founder’s name, Jaroenthong Kiertbanchong. The school is situated in Bangkok. If you are now in Bangkok and interested in learning how to box from a good boxing school, you can call 66 2 539 3867 or 66 81 828 9778, which is Mr. Kiertbanchong’s number.
Mr. Kiertbanchong is one of the Muay Thai Champions. A Muay Thai World Champion from beating Ramon Dekker. He spent a year teaching Thai Boxing in USA until he realized that Thailand still lack of good boxing school and young Thai generation is more into martial art from outside like Karate or Taekwondo. So he finally came back and started his own boxing school here in Thailand purposely to protect and conserve Thai culture and to encourage young people to exercise.

KruPed or Mr. Kiertbanchong said further that this school doesn’t focus on fighter but self-defense and sport. He wants his students to spend their time fruitfully and to be brave and confident.
One of his international students is Nakata, professional football player from Japan. Mostly they knew about this school either from their friends or from their website. So if you’re also interested you can check out the site at www.jaroenthong.com

The price is reasonable. They give you options on how you wanna take the course. Learning one by one with the teacher or with others in group. After each course, of course there’s a test to get you pass each level together with a certificate.
There are still less Muay Thai School in Thailand than other people expected. It’s true that Muay Thai is really famous in many countries. It’s one of the great martial arts for millions of people around the world. As being Thai, I recommend you to learn Muay Thai, just for your own good with the real Muay Thai teachers, and KruPed is one of them.
