This is the most breathtakingly emotional and sad episode of the Contender Asia! Everyone who’s watched this episode would have felt the same. I don’t think anyone loves to watch two close friends trying to win over one another in this fight.

My Grandfather

My granddaddy just told me about what he thinks of Muay Tai. It’s really interesting hearing stories from the old generation. Why? That’s because you cannot expect their surprising stories!

I’ve been thinking what I should write here about Muay Thai. It took me for a while to come up with the idea. I thought “why don’t I go ask my grandfather?” He’s the only one in my house who’s been watching Thai Boxing for the longest time, so he should know better than many people.

He said he started watching Thai Boxing the first time when televisions were introduced here in Thailand. Before that he had never seen MuayThai , just had heard about it, that’s all. And, well, you might have believed that all thai people are familiar with Muey Thai, right? NO if you are born female. And still NO if you come from farmer’s families, from poor families. Why did I say that? Basically ancient Thai Boxing was normally taught to educated people.

Further I asked him why he loves Muay Thai so much. He is another biggest fan of boxing competitions that have been put on Thai TV program everyday. His answer really surprised me. He said he just want to know another good boxers out there and watch them play. He truly admires how great they are and he is also so proud of what they do. They are not just strong but to box your brain work is also needed. Every move you make means “to win” or “to lose”, to get home with “load of money” or “empty handed”.

So are you one of the people who watch boxing for this exact same reason? Admiring and Inspiring!
