Got time for a day trip in Thailand? Welcome to our website, everyone! As you know that today’s topic is all about Thailand and its cool place to visit. In Thailand you can choose any type of traveling you are addicted to. Me, I love the natural and a little bit of cultural kinda tour.
Today is a bit more to another unique culture on a single island really CLOSE to Bangkok. On this island as you know by now called Koh Kret, there is a not alike culture of its community living there for hundreds of years. This said community is famous for its hand-made earthenware.
One fact of this island is it’s not natural. It was actually made up by digging a canal through Chao Praya River creating this wonderful island that has later become one of the most famous tourist spot in the central of Thailand.
What else you can do on Koh Kret? There are many interesting places to visit such as temples, earthenware factory, Thai dessert shops, restaurant, etc. And you can go to all these places on foot if you like because the island is not that big to tell you the truth. However, you can also rent a bike for like a buck or two for the whole day to ride to any places you wish to go on the island and save your energy for photo taking.

The highlight temples are Wat Poramaiyikawat and Wat Pailom. You don’t wanna miss those. You can then visit KwanArman, a Mon (people who live there) cultural center, where you can see all the nice displayed ancient stuff.

In the afternoon might be a bit too hot. You can stop for ice-cream or cold drink that comes in earthenware. That you can’t find in any places of Thailand. So don’t forget to try.
At the end of the day, you can cross the river back to land, or you can stay over in a hostel on the island and leave the next day.
So what do you think? Any more interesting this place is to you? See you next time with the next Thailand’s destination right here!
There are a lot of films that involve boxing, in which there are pretty cool fighting scenes. I want to tell you every boxing film I know. Some of them I haven’t watched myself but I will just tell you what other people think about them.
One of the first great boxing movies is The Champ. The film is full of terrific scenes, such as comedy and heartbreaking sadness. The terrific story tells about an ex-champ, a washed-up, boozing and gambling prizefighter (played by Beery) and his sweet and wise son named (Cooper).
The movie also shows the beautiful friendship between the kid (Cooper) and his black friend which is such color-blind. It is so pure and touchy when in the movie the child said “He’s colored”. It might be because of King Vidor, the director of the Champ, who I find his movies are full of sympathy, human and compassion.
The Best Writing, Original Story Oscar! Because of this film, Wallace Beery got to share the Best Actor Oscar with Frederic March from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The Champ and the director, King Vidor, were also nominated.
I recommend you to watch this movie is not only because it involves boxing, but also the goodness and the advantages of the film that is full of heart and such adoring.

The plot of this story is about an ex-champion that became alcoholic and a loser who lost the gambling and ended up in jail realizes that he has to do something good for once for his beloved son. He thinks that it might be better if his son belongs to the mother, who gave her own child up after divorce but now rich because of her new husband. The son goes tearfully but sneaks out to see his father and always cheers him up. The ex-champ finally gets another chance to fight with the Mexican Champion after his manager arranged him a boxing match.
I started this article quite some time ago already and how clumsy I am, not having taught you how to ask for names in Thai. So now you know what our today’s topic is. This is the very basic.
I will make this very simple. All you need to know in this lesson is how to say “What is your name?” and “My name is…”. Wow this should be one of the most easiest lessons of our Speak of Thai.
There is one unique thing about Thai names. We mostly call each other by their nick name and the nick name has nothing to do with the real name. The reason is that parents will normally name their child with the name that has good meaning. And normally it is quite long 2-4 syllables. So the nickname does help. It is quite impossible to memorize people by their first name in the first time of introducing. The nicknames are mostly 1 or 2 syllables only. So it is much easier!
Let’s start now, shall we?
What is your name in Thai is “Kun Chue Ari Ka/Krap”. And then the answer will be “Chan/Pom Chue ….” For example, “Chan Chue Rita (Ka)” Or “Pon Chue Nick (Krap)”
The crucial word from this lesson is “Chue” means “name”. And the words for Nickname and Firstname are “Chue Len” and “Chue Jing”. The word for Last name is a bit tricking which is “Nam Sa Goon” and the word Nam Sa Goon can be used as a verb when you want to tell the others your last name, you say “Chan/Pom Nam Sa Goon…” which literally means “I last name…”

Another great province in the South of Thailand is such a perfect place to go and enjoy the nature just like the most famous Phuket.
Here are the places you can’t miss when you get a chance to visit the province:
First, Hot Spring Spa in Klong Tom district. Go have a spring water bath in about 50 degree C hot tub. Then the Orchid Garden where displays many types of tropical trees and orchid at the Career Supporting and Development Institute in Krabi (Free Entrance). Fish Hatchery Center is called Nemo Center in which cultivate and breed a great number of fish.

Like other tourist places, but even better, in Krabi there are so many beautiful beaches and islands in Andaman Sea. You might have heard some of the places in Andaman Sea like PP from other people or even from some movies, because the beautiful white sandy beach at PP does attract every single tourist whoever has visited.
Great thing of traveling in Thailand is the locals are so friendly and always welcome the outsiders. “Krabi is the best place to travel with a warm hospitality of people here”. That assures you how the smiles of the people from Krabi will make you happy.

Welcome to our FREE Thai learning article that is here every week at MuayThaiArt.com! Are you ready and prepared to learn another lesson today? Don’t worry. It’s gonna be really easy and simple. Right here we want you to learn Thai from the real dialogs used in by Thai people. No way will we tell you to learn the dialogs from some books that even Thai people don’t even use them that way.
To bargain in Thailand is really normal. But then you have to understand that bargaining won’t work anywhere. Normally we only bargain when we want to buy something from the street or the market that the prices can be flexible up to the seller or the owner. But, when you shopping in MiniMarts like 7 eleven or SuperMarkets or Malls, in which the prices have been fixed and stamped or whatever, please don’t bargain. It’s not going to work anyway.
Here I’m going to teach you how to bargain a bit. You might have to adapt these dialogs depends on which products you are buying and how much they are. These are the sentences I always use from the real situation:
How much is it? (Tao Rai Ka/Krap)
300 baht. (Sam Roi Baht)
Can you give me a discount? (Lod Dai Mai Ka/Krap)
If the seller says yes (Dai), that’s good. But if he or she says no (Mai Dai), you say:
Just a tiny discount, please. (this is not begging but it’s what we call negotiation in a polite way) (Lod Nid Nueng La Kan Na)
Then the seller would normally ask how much you prefer. (Tao Rai La)
Then you offer the price you want for example 250 baht (Song Roi Ha Sib Baht)
If he or she is still not ok with the price, just keep moving up a bit at a time like 260 baht and so on.
I’m sure that wasn’t too easy. The fact is normally women can do this better than men. So if you are a guy, just don’t worry if you can’t bargain to the lowest price. It’s like a gift of female I guess.
Have fun bargaining!
