Contender Asia Yodsanklai VS John Wayne Parr

I just watched the re-run of the Contender Asia last night. We all know that Yodsanklai won this fight in Singapore, right? Yeah Yodsanklai rocks! What a fight!!!

JWP, poor him! In this final he really had no chance to win. Although he had done a good job to score on points, and he would have done better if he was fighting against other boxers, Yodsanklai is out of his league. He should have won this and retired with glory. But anyway he is another great fighter.

This fight, Yodsanklai really deserves to win. He is a very skilled fighter with high experience, very cool in the ring. He has better technique. There’s one part when JWP’s gone wild, throwing crazy punches at Yod. What Yod did was only stepping back a little and shrugged at him. That was hilarious! He just basically waited for his opponent’s attacks and then countered him. His kick was spectacular!

Take a look at this short clip!

No matter who won the game, both Yodsanklai and John Wayne Parr are real sportsmanship. Good guys!

This series of contender showed the true essence of martial arts spirit. All this ultimate fighting has tarnished the core values of the martial way. This season's Muay Thai contender, influenced positively by John Wayne Parr's respect and maturity, once again shows that martial arts is about a self journey, about community and about grace; as opposed to UFC which promotes low IQ, red-neck thuggery, devoid of the traditions of martial arts' mental balance. Well done contender. Shame on you UFC.
