It’s been long since I last updated my blog. And I think there are some people would love to read more about Muaythai Boran that I’ve been talking about in this blog. For those of you who’ve never heard about it, you can visit my blog at muaythaiart.com/blog and checked out my previous articles.

I’m going to talk about the next elbow technique of thai boxing. Naka Kab Hang as you can see in the title is another technique of using both elbows and both knees to attack or to defend in Muay Thai. Let’s not waste more time talking.

This method is used for attacking and defending. It is a combined Thai boxing technique of simultaneous elbow and knee attacks. The boxer executes a right elbow blow to strike the opponent’s face area at the mean time deliver a left knee targeting the opponent’s right ribcage. Here’s a little advice. To make sure that you are hitting your opponent with your sharp pointy bone, instead of flush or with the top part of your bone which is not actually that injurious, your open palm should be held towards your target. In addition, throw the elbow at clinch range to prevent the other boxer from predicting your oncoming elbow strike.

Now below are some method on how to deal with the attack and defense. Practice it to improve your Thai boxing skills.

To the attack: Your left arm should be raised to keep the boxer’s right elbow from hitting your face area. To keep the boxer’s left knee from hurting the target, your right ribcage, try to sway your body to be able to use your right elbow in pressing the boxer’s knee downwards.
To the defense: Basically, just deliver a straight knee to strike the boxer’s abdomen.
