Continuing with our Muay Thai 24 Cherng Sok! There are 24 of them together and now we lost count already how many we have put here. But there will be 24 at the end for sure. So don’t you worry that we or you will miss any bit of the good stuff!
And I guess we don’t have to explain to you anymore what “Cherng Sok” is since I know all of you who want to read or know about this must have a bit of Muay Thai background. But if you are new with it, Muay Thai cherng sok is just how to use “Elbows” in Muay Thai. I know it sounds really interesting to know how. Visit us regularly for the complete lesson!
The move of today is called “PASUTHA SATAN” and I have no idea where the name comes from because I don’t think it relates with the real move. It’s just a name for “using both elbows to beat your opponent alternatively”. So I guess the whole “PASUTHA SATAN” thing is just to be cool. Who knows something different, let me know ok?
This move can be used for attacking, defending or escaping, either one you want depending on the situation you’re facing. It is actually a variation of SOK FAN NAH (we already talked about it, the front elbow strike). In this move, we use both of the elbows.
Firstly, you have to place your right foot forward in the direction of your opponent. If he attempts to move back, you have to turn your body back and throw your left elbow to hit your opponent’s left rib or chin.
To the Defense: Kick your opponent’s rib with your knee. Choose the side that your opponent is attacking your with. So if he uses his left elbow, target his left rib because it is expectedly open to attack.
