Tony Jaa or Thailand’s Jackie Chan, young talented man from north-east of Thailand, a great Thai martial art film actor and choreographer skilled in Muay Thai, Muay Boran, Krabi Krabong and gymnastics is now directing and starring his own movie, Ong Bak 2!
You might remember Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior in 2003. Jaa did all the stunts without mechanical assistance or computer-generated effects and it showcased his style of incredible moves.

This second story is adapted from Ai Noom Saraphad Phid, a low-budget martial arts film Jaa developed with his mentor Panna Rittikrai, but was never released because it was shot on expired film stock. The action will incorporate khon, the sacred Thai masked dance. The title roughly translates to “venomous boy” and involves a character whose dark side is dominant until he’s transformed by the gracious power of khon dance.
Tony Jaa, this new big movie’s director and star said “…This second Ong Bak is quite different from the first. Its story occurs during Ayutthaya Era. We are also representing new form of martial arts which is Khon Dance…”
Since the movie is still in production. Its release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. But according to the plan it should be in theaters sooner or later this year. So if you’re Tony Jaa’s fan out there, don’t miss it. I’m sure this movie will excite you not less than his early movies. We do love him, don’t we?
