Welcome back to our Speak of Thai, where you can learn a bit of Thai every week.

Today topic is really useful for business when you need your clients’ number. And of course, if you’re in love with Thai girl, you might wanna ask her number, right?

Just like the last Speak of Thai at our MuayThaiArt.com/weblog, I’m gonna go really slow and use a short dialog. You can easily memorize the whole dialog. However I’ll also break it down and tell you the meaning of each new vocab. That simple!

Let’s not waste time!

There are a few ways to ask for number. You can just choose one of them. No need to memorize all.

Excuse me! Can I have your number? = Koh Tod Krap! Pom Koh Ber ToRaSup Dai Mai Krap? (ขอโทษครับ ผมขอเบอร์โทรศัพท์ได้ไหมครับ)
Yes. It’s 081-234-5678. = Ka. Ber Soon Paed Nueng Song Saam See Ha Hok Jed Paed. (ค่ะ เบอร์ 081-234-5678)

What is your number? = Ber Kun Ber Arai Krap? (เบอร์คุณเบอร์อะไรครับ)
085-000-0000. = Soon Paed Ha Soon Soon Soon Soon Soon Soon Soon. (085-000-0000)

Leave me your number. = Ting Ber Wai Hai Pom Dai Mai Krap (ทิ้งเบอร์ไว้ให้ผมได้ไหมครับ)
Sure. 02-123-4567 = Dai Ka. Soon Song Nueng Song Saam See Ha Hok Jed (ได้ค่ะ 02-123-4567)

Here are some vocabularies.
Ber (เบอร์) = number
ToRaSup (โทรศัพท์) = telephone
Koh (ขอ) = literally to ask for
Dai (ได้) = sure!, ok!, no problem!

I think those are quite enough. Don’t forget to put it into practice. Everyday if you can. Learning a new language is all about practicing and working with it. If you have further questions, you can ask me in the comments. If you’re interested you can visit me at podcastthai.com where you can hear the real pronunciation which will make you Thai learning even easier.

See you next time with Speak of Thai at MuayThaiArt.com/weblog! สวัสดีค่ะ
