Oledong is set to defend his WBC strawweight title against Junichi from Japan. The fight is to be held in Phuket and it will be the first defense of Oledong since he won the 105lbs belt, competing Den Junlaphan last year.

Oledong’s record is 26 winnings with 10 KOs and just knockout Serga John from Indonesia in March. And his opponent from Japan Junichi Ebisuoka hold a record of 17(7KO)-10-3. In his most recent fight in March, he won over Thongthailek Por Vorasing in Kobe, Japan.

Oledong’s manager claims that he believes that Oledong will be able to handle the competitor, Ebisuoka, who is ranked number 20 by the WBC but according to the rule, champions are only allowed to defend against boxers ranked 11-19.
