But then I realized I should scope the timeline down a bit, just in the past 2 hundreds years. So my actual question was who the best Muay Thai fighter is in the past 200 years.

So what I did was looking online and asking many trainers and guess what there are so many answers for that questions, so I can’t conclude. And basically whoever once a World champion are all said to be good, though not all are the best. No offense, but let’s just say that there are lots of the best Muay Thai boxers in Thailand.

Muay Thai was always and will always be Thailand’s national sport. In the very first competition, holed coconut shells put in water were used as timers. They would fight unlimited rounds until either one give up. The rules have developed and changed until today.

On of the fact that Muay Thai was so important in the past is whoever know, are good at Muay Thai and have great body (in the past they compare the body structure, not the weight) will get a chance to perform in front of the King and whoever win will be offered an honorable job which is the King’s secret agent, or what I call “bodyguard”. So, most of great Muay Thai fighters from the past were soldiers.
